Anyone had to stand with their nose in the corner at school?

I have a few times!
I heard of teachers drawing a circle on the chalkboard or markerboard and requiring a disruptive student to keep her nose touching inside the circle. A friend told me that she had to do this and she requested the paddle instead; seemed gutsy so I asked her why. She said for paddle licks you got sympathy but for nose in the circle time, you were just teased and laughed at.

More than once... hehe
Not at school. But my mom would use time out. That's pretty close.
At least you did not have a bunch of peers to tease you.

A few times in junior school - after being slippered.

It happened. Most times for talking in class or for being cheeky.

I never had to but saw many do it ... usually for being disruptive in class ....

What did you do?

Talking in class among other things!

@Candice: I think I remember standing in the corner once, but I don't remember why. I typically behaved myself in school.

Was that in addition to or instead of a paddling?
