I Play Piano

When I was a very small child, my dad bought me a cheap keyboard and paid for some lessons.

I found it a bit boring at first, as I'd be spending a while just to play a basic song. But then in my mid teens, I was getting to the point that I could read music, including my favorite songs, and my dad bought me a piano.

I live in the UK, and we have a grading system for classical piano playing. It has nothing to do with age. It starts at grade 1, and goes up to grade 8. Grade 1-3 would be secondary school standard, say, 3-5 highschool, 5-8 university, something like that. I am currently studying for my grade 8 exam.

It helps you develop your problem solving skills, math skills, reading skills, just so many skills and I think it is so much more rewarding that a sport. Also, as a teacher you can get a nice pay check teaching privately at a time convenient to you!

I also play publicly at small venues and I have videos on Youtube, my channel having reached nearly 500,000 views.

I play as well, and am qualified to teach grades 1-4 RCM. I prefer to write.
