The focus on novelty tends to be one of the ways that funds are transferred from the foolish to the cunning whether that is done by way of vehicles, furniture, clothes, or other items. Have been aware of this for many years. A great way to sell to the foolish is to tell them how hard they have worked, how they deserve good things, how they are worthy of them, how they are entitled to the markers that should go with their success, the station they have achieved, in other words, their having "arrived". Branding, whether by distinguishing cadillacs from chevies, or one article of clothing, watch, jewelry, handbag, even house etc is a way of doing this. The prime marks for this form of sales are white heterosexual couples in their 30's, especially with kids, and most especially if the man has a good position. Such folks are ripe to buy after marriage, promotions etc.
