I Like to Flirt

I believe that flirting should be a required course in school, starting as early as say 14 ?
Flirting should be playful and fun . . you're at a party ..
A boy sees a girl out on the terrace .. he approaches her and says .

"Do you live around here?" he asks..
"No, I live next door." she answers ..
(the boy must think fast, or she will outwit him ..)
"I take it you didn't drive to get here then." he answers.
"I don't own a car, I took a taxi..." she answers
"Well, at least it was a cheap fair,," he answers
"Not really, he got distracted going around the block .." she answers
"I can understand him getting distracted with someone as beautiful as you.. " he answers
(Ouch ! Stop, you don't say that !! .. you're pushing with a complment, you're just trying to pull information, and what if she isn't beautiful ? ..
(reverse the tape and try again.)
"Most cab drivers don't know their way around the city .. I understand the cabbies in London are supposed to memorize every street in their district." he answers .
(this is a totally benign and neutral subject)
"Have you ever been to London ." she asks.
(now she is following him)
"no, but I'd like to go some day ." he says.
(the conversation is now getting softer, he is dreaming and imagining

Now it's your turn: The girl now says:
(insert her words here)

So Do I...

I talk to lots of people who use on line dating .. the problem is the first meeting. There is an awkward moment which you have to get over, otherwise things can go back quickly.
It some ways it's like being being on an interview, you're trying to teach them about you, while you're trying to clearly understand what the company is like and exactly what they want.
So the suggestion is to find a neutral topic that doesn't require either party to talk about themselves.
I think flirting has some of this .. also "float like a butterfly" is a way not to let the conversation notget stuck on a certain point, but rather the conversation light.

I didn't really learn to flurt until I was say past thrity and I was married. I would go to parties with my husband and men would flirt with me and I had no idea what they were doing. i would look them like they were speaking a foreign language. Then a women came to my rescue and clued me in.
Ah, I get it .. it's a nonsensical neutral language, like walking a tight rope .. although even after I got the "hang" of it, I learned to turn into a meaningful conversation .. I'm too just practical I guess ..

I love flirting. More than flirting myself, I actually enjoy my woman flirting in my presence. I'm not into "cuckoldry" by any measure, I just love knowing that my woman is attractive, that she is interested in getting attention and that she trusts me enough to not get jealous, and I trust her enough to not step over a line.

I've not had a woman feel the same way in return, however. I wonder if there are any women here who feel good about their men flirting?

NO specific words but the soft flirting would be something like :
the girl would recommend some places for him to see , he accepts it and asks back what other things he can do and what other things she liked doin in london. after the answer th guy got some clue about her likes and dislikes. and try to express that he enjoys same things with her. and maybe convinces her doing somethings together :)

You are 100% correct. I think today with texting and tweeting email that true flirting is a lost art.

Noticing his distracted look, she says "What are you thinking about?"
