I Am Going Through a Separation

Divorce papers filed and ordered.
Saw him in rehab yesterday to visit with the kids. He's taking it so well. Still loves me and wants to be there for the kids. He's even going to pack up the old apartment and find somplace cheaper. I never liked it there and have been gone since October. How life changes, and how different today is from yester-year.
Some people think divorce is cut done and you don't like them, should be excluded from their part of the family, even with kids, but I didn't want it gory. I'm thankful my children see us happier now.

Well some times people are happier apart then together and it better for the kids to, Now before people jump down my throat and say family should stick together normally you are right but it's what best for the kids. Is it fair for the kids to see their parent fight all the time?

I have been through a divorce too and it is bitter sweet if you truly loved the person. Kids are affected mostly, hope they dealt with the transition in a positive way

It's an emotional roller coaster. I was crying like, "I miss grilling and beers and friends." But he was like, "but honey they weren't real friends. They were using friends." So I cried harder like, "I tried to tell you that and now look where we are."
So he asked me to pray with him, and that was beyond weird. His new addiction is God but we are both happier now. My kids too. They miss us as a family, but just because we aren't all living together anymore doesn't mean they don't have a dad.

Well no they will always have a dad it will be just in a different way and nothing stops the kids from spending the night with their dad when he is able to,
