I Have Something to Say

As a follow on to uk leaving the European Union I'm really hoping people get up and self support the uk which we can do in lots of ways from buying British food and British produced goods.we can opt for banks that are solely uk banks not owned or part owned in Europe.
Watch out for your milk and buy British owned suppliers milk not muller etc.
Let's self help in getting our countries to be stronger as soon as we can,by supporting our own business we will build a great uk again.
Personally I feel with the Scottish so much wanting indepence from us then I'd suggest you consider it when choosing your banks and goods you buy too.
I believe if we all give it the support we will help our economy to become stable and ultimately give us the best chance to help in the uk seperating from Europe and in turn help ourselves build up from now.

If this wasn't crazy I don't know what is. I had to visit a friend in Peterborough last year, her grandparents flat along with 5 rows of others had been flattened to have nice new housing ,great I'm thinking. So I get there and the building company was Dutch the workers were Dutch mainly some polish etc. Then I see the bricks been delivered a wagon from Holland bringing them in from harwich port.how utterly crazy hey,Peterborough is one of the biggest brick manufacturing cities we have yet they brought them in from Holland. Deffinately someone on a good back hander in the council there.

Agricultural produce I agree with and will always buy - it is much better for the environment. But banks, by definition they are not "British" . . . they provide services across borders and invest and spread risk globally. As can be seen in the current run on the pound :-(

Your dreaming about farming we already produce more than we need and we have set aside enforced by Europe so with the extra 20 percent of active land to cone back into use even more to sell, presently we have no choice we have to import a agreed amount from Europe,we don't need it, every day milk is poured away because farms pass there quotas yet another European forced item.and the list is endless,I can only talk from farming point of view.

I only said about banks as I decided change as they reduced the guaranteed insured amount in 2 I had and both were European owned, plus I want to feel that if uk banks in good situation then out economy grows and stays good too,as yes it's fine currently as still covered under European law but we won't be once out so a European bank will be a risk then

True, but that is only really cows. Many crops we simply can't grow because of the climate. Certainly up here in the north. We'd really struggle to eat a diverse diet without importing. Although I think you'll get your way a little, because British-grown/produced will become cheaper by contrast.

Well said and today's figures show strong growth 😄

We don't need rubbish grown in greenhouses in Holland and other parts of Europe as most of that food is not natural produce for Europe. we can buy direct from the proper country where it will taste actually nice. Because it grew outside in the sunshine without additives

The biggest problem I see for us is that we're not a manufacturing economy, and not really an agricultural or farming economy. We have a services economy and we need to sell our services abroad much more than we need to buy them ourselves.

ive always done that

Arable stretches thoughout and each area grows the best crops for its area don't worry we produce plenty. Most like yourselves don't realise how much because we have to import so much not by choice.

Yeah, I think Britain as a whole is much less farming and agricultural now than in the past. I'm pretty sure we'll buy more British as it'll to be too expensive to import now.

I think the fact HSBC had shut so many branches long before the vote we need to unite and stick to using solely uk banks to support our economy and build a secure Britain
Sueisright · 31-35, F
But I'm not trying argue I just hope we get behind Britain and support ourselves as best we can which helps us all in the end

I don't have milk I was only making a point about it we have majority arable and some beef cows
