I Have Something to Say

I need feedback. I am almost finished with another crime drama. I have my killer. In the past that was the end of it but I am considering going through the trial portion with this one. Does anyone see any value in that?

Yes, especially if there's a twist at the end revealed in a trial.

Have you read any of Ann Rule's books?

I haven't but might check it out. After the first draft I put some distance between myself and the novel before I start editing, just to get a look with fresh eyes.

@lasergraph: Great idea. The late Ann Rule was the world's most competent true crime writer. She always followed the trial and its aftermath.
@lasergraph: This deliberate distance brings along a fresh perspective to polish the drawn sketch. 👍
I concord with greenmountaingal on the twist aspect. Sustenance of the readers' interest is above all else!
Bests!
