I Have Something to Say
Like the petals of a flower, we remained - side by side - flourishing amid the warmth of the sun and the green blades of grass. Happy, full of life and colour, the stem thrusting us higher towards our dreams.
And one fateful day, a lonely child plucks us out from the ground. Just like in the movies, she plucks off the petals one by one, letting each of us fall, separated, bleeding, dying beneath the blades over which we once towered.
"Tell him, Tell him not" she would say, as she used us to decide for herself whether to confess to the man of her interested. As for me, as I fell slowly to the ground, to wither and die, my only regret is that I never got the chance to tell you - you who stayed by my side all that time - that I loved you.
