I Have Something to Say
There stands a man,
In white armour and a sword in hand.
The perfect warrior they'd claim,
Staring up at his muscular frame.
Donning his armour as if he were without sin,
A pure light humanised; fighting to win.
But if one were to study him a little more,
One would notice the black core.
The light that surrounds him,
Blinds us from the darkness within.
Watch him celebrate his victories hollow,
Squint to see his internal sorrow.
Witness him finally withdraw
Allowing his inner feelings to roar
Listen to his honest desires
Then burn his body amidst the hottest fires
The people feared their worshipped deities
And that man was full of heresies.
In white armour and a sword in hand.
The perfect warrior they'd claim,
Staring up at his muscular frame.
Donning his armour as if he were without sin,
A pure light humanised; fighting to win.
But if one were to study him a little more,
One would notice the black core.
The light that surrounds him,
Blinds us from the darkness within.
Watch him celebrate his victories hollow,
Squint to see his internal sorrow.
Witness him finally withdraw
Allowing his inner feelings to roar
Listen to his honest desires
Then burn his body amidst the hottest fires
The people feared their worshipped deities
And that man was full of heresies.
