Has someone more innocent than you ever fallen in love with you, and you knew that if you shared your life with them, you'd shatter their values?

Many years ago I dated, briefly, a woman far younger than I.
I think she was flattered by the attention and I was amazed that she'd want anything to do with me !
But I was a cynical old b@$+@rd even then !! And whilst everything in the world was wonderful from her perspective. It just felt like I was a disappointment just waiting to happen.

Innocent? I don't know many of those people anymore. --DW
