Is it better to have someone earn your trust? Or to give someone the benefit of the doubt and trust until it is broken??

Trust with a wise mind and heart. Anyone who walks into your life for the first time deserves a clean slate--rid yourself of other's wrong doings.

Carrying such baggage will only get you a few steps down this very long road.

Orr maybe you mix the both?
Being nice always reaps rewards. There is no doubt about being good is good but when it comes to trust.
Maybe you can put sensible walls?
Along with a bit of thorns to know if it's genuine or not

Hmmmm ? I see trust from both sides now, but I really don't know trust at all. ;) I kinda lifted that line ( not word for word obviously) from Joni Mitchells song book, but I think it applies here. Earning someone's trust is important, but then, we are all innocent until proven guilty, are we not?
