Does having more knowledge about the world make you mature?

I know one of my teachers that's a lot older had once told me that I was mature then some other people. She told me it was because I had more world knowledge, in which she had to explain to me that I had more knowledge about the world. But does that really make me mature? Or just having more positivity? Cause some of the things I know may come from me just being different and sensitive, which can cause me to think in a more positive way. But I'm just wondering, do you guys think it does?
