Why are STOP sign always red?

because it's bright and the eyes are drawn to it. just a guess

red color has the highest wavelength and can be visible from long distances.

Red can be spotted from a long distance whether it's daylight or your carlight at night.

So the blood doesn't show as much when you crash into it at high speed! :D

cause red is the colour of death and if you don't stop well....

Maybe it's because the color red reminds us of danger? Or blood?
