Are you more articulate in the written word?

If so, why do you think that is?

There was a girl I knew at college who I was completely in awe of. She could destroy anyone in an argument and had a seemingly endless supply of facts to back up her points. I asked her how she knew so much and she told me she just made it up and said it with confidence. Things were so much easier before the internet and instant access to 'facts'.

@calicuz: I'm sure she did, lost touch unfortunately

That girl could be President of America. ;-)

@Burnley123: Much better views, and much better looking.
I am. I enjoy the leisure of writing precisely what I'm thinking, and exactly the way I wish to write it. That way, it can't be misunderstood. And I won't stick my foot in my mouth! 😂
No. I'm more articulate in person because my spelling is crap.. I have to dumb sentences down to my spelling level 🙄
🙂 @mikowee: hi 🙂

Nope. I think I often miss out details while writing because it can seem to be a very long task. While speaking I say one thing many times to make sure people understood and it's easier to keep track of where you were going with your topic. Even though, I'm introverted.

I is, just cuz I is bruh.
I am not articulate by any means, but I feel I am at least a tad more articulate in writing as I have more time to "proof read my thoughts" , before writing it as oppose to speaking what you think.as the thoughts form into words.

My level of articulateness depends on who I am speaking/writing to. I can dumb it down though, so the slow ones can keep up.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
Eh? WTF are you saying, technocrat. ;-)

Generally. Because I know how to write, and I have the luxury of editing what I write. This way, I only say what I intend to say.
Write. I think I talk too fast so don't really have time to think of what's coming out of my mouth.

because i can edit the fuck out of my write
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
Yes. I'd love to re-edit conversations.

Alexz7272 · 31-35, F
I am indeed. Probably because I am a writer :)
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
Yes, because I have more time to think.
I'm just more comfortable that way,I think it's because I'm afraid of being rejected or maybe being ridiculed.I'm still working on a lot of stuff stemming from childhood.I also have a speech impediment so I often find it a lot easier to communicate through writing.
firefall · 61-69, M
Oh yes, definitely - in person I'm too aware of my appearance & that keeps me mostly shut up
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
You have a cute blue face IMO. ;-)
UDontKnowMe · 80-89, M
Because that is how my brain works (or not as the case may be).
