Do you keep a journal or diary?

I keep a diary for events.
Reports due by.
Client meetings.
Reviews/hearings.
Family birthdays/anniversaries.
Travel plans/ticket numbers/bus/train timetables.
The kind of thing most folk would use their phone for I guess these days.
But not one for recording my thoughts and feelings.
Somebody once bought me a nice diary one Christmas. And I faithfully recorded in it every day for a year.
But on re-reading, it was so depressive.
Very few highlights or happy events so I never bothered after that.
