Tell me one thing you did for YOU. Add more if you feel like sharing.

It's sharing time. A new goal, a new outlook, a former friend, planting a garden. Matters not what others think, only YOU!

One day I was on my P.C. and I visited a hub that shared poetry. That afternoon the radio played a newly released song...from there I found the words that had been hidden in the far reaches of my mind. It began from a song I had just heard on the car radio. The words I heard were so much like a story. And I sat in the car for a while, as my mind was moving around the words.
I thought about the many books I have read. How the writer entices you into his/her head to share the story. Because to give it life, it has to be read.
A song played on the radio. I listened for a while and the words in my head were literally bouncing off the walls of my brain.

Most books I have read begin with the weather. Descriptions of the storm as it becomes closer as the sky darkens. We hear the sounds in our mind. Thoughts gather and the imagination grows. Before you realize, you have set the scene. The shimmering drops of rain splatter as they fall to feed the hungry dry earth.
I am not and never was a smart person. I did make it through High School. And I began saving right away...following Graduation I found a job as a cashier In a LARGE department store.
We were able to cash out our own drawer. To which one little boy came to my line with a toy and Coins...very old coins (obviously from Grandpas collection)----- Yes I still have those 1920' Walking Liberty Coins.
Other than collecting them, I have no idea where to take these. But they are my safety net.

Out of my Orbit Range. I prefer soft and mellow. Tails of love and loss. A music share I was in a while back someone had posted an Artist named Elly K. I am fairly certain she is British. THE song ..THE one song is titled, "VELVET" This has to be the most romantic song. I wonder the pain she was placed in to write with such essence of her pain. I would share, but not certain if drag 'n drop works in here.

I did this too. Lost more than I expected. Several sizes. Jeans went from 22 to a 4. Did wonders for my moral. I walk a lot. Drank water till I wanna throw up. Water cleanses and washes away the oils before they can form new fat cells.

I shared my hot tub with an elderly neighbor lady.. She is loving it and asking for more.. I Love having the company. I warned her that I'm a nudist, and she admitted that she is also at home, so no problem...
It's funny that this post should appear to me this morning. It seems as though I have nothing that I do just for myself and have been challenged to find ways to do so.

Later friends I need to figure what to make for lunch. Hard to figure that out when you aren't hungry. Don't have TOO MUCH FUN without me.

To try and see if I can remain calm and not explode within my own lack of common sense. Trust me, That happens a lot!

Try it you might find out you enjoy it
Carla1951 · 70-79, F
@Lucien.You have to try. Yes maybe your first choice wont change anything. But it's worth a try. Just Do It! So if you fail in that first attempt; You have the other options to look into. Take one weekend and pack an overnight bag.. and take a drive. Go to a place you have always wanted to see. Take a walk and feel the smells in the air. Listen to the sounds. Watch the people and compliment a stranger. Introduce yourself and ask the person to tell you something about them. If they directly start to look away, turn your eyes to another person. Compliment them on something and smile. Feel their emotions.
Sometimes... even most the time, there is at least one person that is troubled and worried. You might be their answer. That's it. If you can believe in a stranger, THEY can believe and even inspire you. You have made a difference in how they feel about you!
That is when you can start your daily Diary...*Today a stranger smiled. They smiled because of something I said. Today I may have made a difference in their world.*

I think better when I don't think. Instead it's spontaneous.

Lucian, It's never too early to make plans. R U going with me or not?
Carla1951 · 70-79, F
Don't give up till you try. Offer to buy them a coffee so the two of you can talk.
Even when we do for others is it really for them or for us to feel good about self?
Carla1951 · 70-79, F
Not always. I like to watch people. They think I'm strange. If they stare back, my reply is, "I like watching people. It's more fun talking to them because not everyone wants to talk." Yes we ALL have out problems. Yet when we transfer ourselves into the world of others and get them to open up their thoughts change. It's YOU that can make the difference. Making a difference is what it's all about.

What are you gonna do?
