Is it normal that I don't feel competent at 23?

Like lately, I seem to have lost faith in myself and my abilities

I have competed whole my life beside, these last couple of months, where I don't feel as determined as I should be. I am still going and not stopping myself. This is what I have to share with you.

Wish you the best of luck

This is something we all can relate to, at differing points in our life. Try and look deeper into why you feel this way and make changes gradually. Good luck 😀

I will try to, thank you. Good luck to you too.

Your welcome, thanks.
It's wonderful that you don't feel competent at 23.

It's nothing new. You can't look at your abilities through your own eyes, but through mirror's eyes. Reflect on yourself and your abilities and ask yourself are they where you want them to be? If not then improve them

@offingg: I'm only four years older than you. I think there are two types of people, those who are over confident in themselves, and those who aren't confident enough. At 27, I've been on both sides. Trust me, you'll be fine

@Solona: I figured from your age range, I hope all is well with you :)

@offingg: and I hope the same for you
Why yes, it is normal. Today's economically unstable society projects a tidal wave of unaccomplished people.

I think you feel this way because there were some dickheads (such as the school system) in your life who made you feel this way.

Lol, we all have those

Nope, it's a part of growing. Don't lose faith in yourself though, just maybe use this time to explore other abilities you may have but never tried to use before :)

How was it like for you at 23 though?

At 23, we'll I was stuck between choosing a job I thought I wanted and one that I didn't like. And also still not sure what I wanted to go to college for. It was a time that I had to sit myself down and look at things differently, even got into a really low point of depression, but eventually I opened my eyes and saw that the job I thought I wanted wasn't the one, and that college I finally decided to do something I enjoyed rather than something that I thought I needed to be. Just a time of growth honestly :)

You piece of shit.
What is wrong with you ? 😡

@bijouxbroussard: I've got issues.
It's very normal to have self-doubts. Especially as a young person. Your confidence will grow with living and accomplishments. 🙂

That's reassuring and means a lot, thank you

@offingg: well I am not very good at anything, but im not very bad either. I'm quite average, but hey, that's why we can practice. Never stop practicing, and you'll never stop achieving/impressing.

What's your education, career and life then?
