Everywhere I go. It seems rude to just walk by another human being and pretend they don't exist.

Neighbours, cashiers and colleagues, yes. Strangers not so often.

Yes, especially on here. But I find that people that state on their profile that they would like a nice talk do not respond to pleasant messages.
