What are your thoughts on toxic masculinity?

What's that?
I probably prefer that over effeminate, yikes!

I think feminism is bullshit, and there is no patriarchy. Nor has there ever been.

@NearMiss: And there is your issue. You have no idea what feminism means. Read feminist theory. There is profoundly more to it than that.

How does feminism seek to obtain these goals? What is feminist theory on history? Society? How does feminism define equality? What has feminism done to establish "equality between the sexes"?

And, incidentally, if feminism is "equality between the sexes," then why is it named after women? FEMINim. Doesn't sound very equal, to me. Is it just poor wording? Why wouldn't one simply call themselves an egalitarian? Is there a difference between egalitarianism and feminism? Both state they seek equality. So why pick one over the other? Are they actually different?

With political, economic, and social movements, a bland one sentence definition doesn't explain the belief system. At all.

Another create controversy buzz term from the toxic left.

As the term implies, it's toxic. And I shun anything toxic.😑

This is the way I see it from the little knowledge of the subject: It's not a sign of weakness for men to cry, to get anxious about life's circumstances and life as a whole, or to ask for help from anyone...and many other ways we see as weakness.

I realized this when I became a widow. Left all by myself to maintain what hubby had left behind and to bring up our child, I was faced with the greatest fear of uncertainty. It was when I understood his role in our life. A man's role, which probably made him anxious and fearful at times, made him irritable and sad at times, a role which made him doubtful and weak at times, a role which made him tired of responsibilities and life as a whole at times. I've seen those moods in him and those were the times he needed a helpmeet. After him, when I took his role as the man of the house, I realized, behind the strong or macho facade of every man, deep inside is a heart and soul just like any human.

So, I oppose the idea. I don't like, it in the same token that I don't like violent, agressive in any way, 'seemingly' powerful men. The embodiement of toxic masculinity is a cultural archetype. I personally believe men should not be defined or viewed in a restrictive way. Different men, different attitudes. And attitudes may be good or bad.

No you aren't when you defend and assert defamation and lies against men and subscribe to the boogey man theory of mean evil males encouraging other males to be mean evil males.

That's strictly leftist hogwash.

@Noahkahol: you clearly have a chip on ur shoulder...Bye!
