BIG NEWS in MICHIGAN this morning - FORD MOTOR CORP CANCELLED a $1.5 BILLION plant in MEXICO

Yes that is great . And probably more of an economic move that anything else for Ford. Trump threatened to impose a 35% import tax on vehicles produced elsewhere . The plant is mostly for electric vehicles so it will be imported to the US for sure. I dont know if this is political or purely because the numbers made more sense to stay. I guess if they factored in the 35% tax in their numbers it could be deemed political.

Wonder what kind of deal they cut or what they expect in return. Or, more importantly, why Ford chose NOT to invest in American when Obama was in office -- could they, perhaps, be so cynical as to simply hold back investments until they got a President they felt they could buy?
