How long did it take you to get your permit?

I can't remember exactly if it was the day was 18, the legal age here, ore the time it took from my 18th till I could apply for an drivers test, I could drive anyway before I was legalized to drive.

I have no idea what they need to have you do for the permit today. The most difficult part for me was double parking. I had to back in a space between two vehicles. I did it that once, and swore to never try again. So far I haven't yet attempted.
