Have you ever tried to preserve autumn leaves?

If so, what method worked best for you?

About 24 years ago, in graduate school, I placed some in the scanner in the computer room and took photos! They turned out great! I still have them somewhere. I did not own a camera and this was a decade before the age of smart phones.

That's cool!

I also put them on a website I made. I had a page too for my students. I used to work out stuff neatly on paper then scan it.

Compost bag. Works every time for me. 😬

Used to be an advert on tv when I was young. Demonstrating(supposedly) the benefits of oil of Ulay (i think it's called Olay these days) on dry skin.
Demonstrated by rubbing said lotion on a dry leaf, thus rejuvenating it.
Never tried it but it might work.

Yep! Just looked at that. Have you tried any of those methods before?
not that you know of.

I think the glycerin method works best to keep them from getting dry and crumbly.
SW-User
Thank you! I am going to try that.

No, the opposite. They make very good compost after a while.

Ballora · 22-25, F
Yeah. I did it the old fashioned way. Putting them in a book between the pages.
SW-User

Ballora · 22-25, F

Closing them between a book, thats the way i was taught as a kid 🤔
SW-User
Hmmm...but won't they crumble?
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Meowsolini: not at all, they will be very flat and be beutiful pieces of decorations 😊, just dont take the crumbly dry ones on the ground, if they are dry, maybe try soaking them for a bit.

@MartinTheFirst: Ahhhhh! OK!
