Have you ever cut your toenail a little too short and it bleeds?

my mum cut my thumbnail too short when I was 4 and I will never forgive her for it. It bled for so long and my thumb was like stumped in growth because of it. Literally my one thumb looks messed and the nail is two times smaller than my other one

I did that to my 1st dog . I feel so stupid and mean in having done that to her.

Actually that is one thing that I never did. If you cut your toenails properly that shouldn't happen and you'll be saving yourself from ingrown toenails as well.
You should never be cutting your nails so short that you bleed. It should be straight across, not rounded, and a nice ridge of white should still be visible. I think too many people make this mistake and cut their nails way too short!
