I wonder how long you should wait for your soulmate to come into your life and if you should ever give up hope of finding one...

SW-User
I think there is somebody out there for anyone. It all starts with patience

Hoping there is someone for everyone...how much depends on expectations and making the right choices, I wonder...
Wiseacre · F
@anotherclone: a little truth in that, but it's mostly about an attractive personality.

@Justsayit: i wish it was true, there are so many people out there who we think are ugly, fat or not what we dream of. nobody kisses them nor hold their hands...we say we are compassionate and we don't care about looks but we all know how much true that is

Ever thought that there is no thing as a soulmate, but rather people who came along the way and enrich our lives?
HonestAndHopeful · 46-50, F
That's possible.
SW-User
lol, what if they never come ? that would make us feel like a fucking moron
HonestAndHopeful · 46-50, F
It would...alternatively what if you had settled and then they showed up?
SW-User
@HonestAndHopeful: that's possible but to wait or think it could happen is kinda torture. even if you met your soulmate and somehow it didn't work then what ? let's not hope for things which have the potential to fuck up your life ;)
HonestAndHopeful · 46-50, F
@anotherclone: well, you do make an interesting point. There is of course no guarantee that a soulmate relationship would be permanent, even if it was wonderful...

There's quite a lot of people there's got to be someone who you don't notice is a dickhead...
HonestAndHopeful · 46-50, F
Haha! Yes...perhaps we just need to give more people a chance. ☺
Wiseacre · F
Me?
I don't wait for such things...Things tend to come along when least expected!
Twoinmanc · 51-55, M
Don't look. Just get on with life in the hope they do show up
nuguitar · 51-55, M
How do you spot one in the wild and how do you know when to open your soul? If I could only figure those out...
HonestAndHopeful · 46-50, F
True...I think you would feel an attraction and a warmth in your interaction with this person from the start.
nuguitar · 51-55, M
@HonestAndHopeful: True dat. The search continues
curiosi · 61-69, F
You can either be patient and wait, or give up and settle.
HonestAndHopeful · 46-50, F
Hmmm...that is the question. Tough one!
curiosi · 61-69, F
@HonestAndHopeful: I wont settle, rather be alone forever then be unhappy with the wrong person.
HonestAndHopeful · 46-50, F
@curiosi: I can relate to that...not sure which way I'm going on this one though...might feel worse to be alone.

@HonestAndHopeful: sometimes we have to face reality, no one for me, i'm wanting but
HonestAndHopeful · 46-50, F
@mrmoose: I hope there is someone for you.
mrmoose · 70-79, M
@HonestAndHopeful: perhaps, been around the world looking
