What are some ways to better communicate with your significant other?

Easy to say if it is something that comes naturally to you. For example I am really good at talking about things that bother me or how I am feeling. She isn't good at it and I am not sure how to make it easier for her.

I can't read her mind... unfortunately.

@mar3sword: I think the best way to make it clear that you need the lines of communication open, is to tell her that. Young women, I'm assuming she's your age, are awful at communicating, usually.
You know what they say, though..you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. If she doesn't value you or your feelings, she won't make the effort to talk to you.

@LivingDeadGirl: I know that she cares. I have been pretty clear with the idea that she should just be straight with me and talk to me...

I am not sure how to make it easier for her to talk to me.

Gosh, you must be in big trouble to have to resort to smoke signals... Surprised the fire department hasn't shut you down.

@mar3sword: well when your workshop goes up in smoke, that's fairly clear signalling :)

@firefall: Ouch... So she was using smoke signals? By burning your place...man that is bad, she be crazy. You need a new identity in a new country, get out while you can!
