On average, how difficult is it to get a divorce?

Not really much to it... just agree on stuff and sign and pay the lawyers for filing paperwork.
Best to avoid it altogether, but sometimes it's a mental health decision

@tiffanyandasaltshaker: $999 to $3500 depending upon the situation. Property separation and such is the thing that adds forms and time to the deal.

When I tried to get a divorce, my lawyer turned out to be a serial murderer. He chased me through the woods and everything. My divorce probably would have been more difficult had I not decided to go with a different lawyer after the first one tried to kill me. I give divorce three and a half stars.

uncontested is simple
if you have properties involved it is a long drawn out process
