So we switched out our coffee table for a large ottoman last year and I'm not sure if I want to get rid of it and go back to a coffee table.
It's definitely comfortable and if we want to have drinks in the living room we just use the end tables. Or bamboo trays for the ottoman.

What do you have in your living room?
Had a nice ottoman, but I'm the type that likes to switch up pretty things on a coffee table to fit the season, and enjoy looking at, so I ended up going back to my coffee table. Love it.
my coffee table serves a TV table so an ottoman would be nice. I kind of like the open floor space too without either

I did have an open floor space for a while and I loved it. My youngest was a toddler and putting down his foam mat for play time was easy and he'd have room to move around

Coffee table

I miss having that we traded it out because my youngest then 2yrs old would lay down on the bottom part of the coffee table and I was afraid he'd hur himself. He has cognitive and speech delay and was very uncoordinated, once he bumped his eye on the corner of the table trying to get under there (right on the brow)
And so my husband and I decided to toss it and went without it for a few years.
When we decided to get something again we just went with the ottoman

@Tristemuneca: I had to remove my coffee table after my toddler daughter fell on the edge...and she did the same thing at my sister's house (who put her coffee table in the garage) and at my sister-in-law's house (she also removed her coffee table....my daughter learned to walk at age of 9 months and within a month was running and falling quite often, mostly because she stopped holding her hands up to balance herself. She only had to have stitches one time, thank goodness. So that's why I like too have my coffee and end tables now. But I can understand why anyone with young children want an ottoman...they are much safer.

@cherokeepatti: oh my she and I started walking at the same time!!!
My parents were shocked because I was such a chunky little one but that didn't hold me back! Lol

I'll probably have to wait until the twins are 5 lol

Ottoman with trays!
It's cute with an ottoman. 🙂I still have my coffee table, however. I can't afford to trade it out. : (

We got ours at a furniture liquidators
It's leather and really big it's square shaped and the length and height are about the same length as the love seat
It was cheap because they didn't have the matching living room ref
My couches happen to be the same leather on the bottom but microfiber for the seats and back. It's not part of the set but looks great and was only $75!!!
