I Had A Strict Mother Growing Up

Really strict in contrast to my dad who's more laid back and easy-going. My mom has always been the more stern, no-nonsense parent who knows how to discipline when she needs to. She taught me and my sister a lot of important life lessons that helped us become the mature and responsible adults we are today. Even now, I'll still go to her if I need help or advice on anything. She still chews me out whenever I make a bad decision but I love her for it. At least I don't ever forget. 😜

Oh and ffs, [b][u]DO NOT MESSAGE ME ABOUT SPANKING.[/u][/b] I'll not entertain any interests or fetishes you have about spanking so please stop messaging about that!

Although, I am sure there are exceptions, I think mothers are usually stricter than Dads. I am not sure the "wait 'till your father gets home" was ever really that prevalent --except maybe for some real big things. Although probably no one would have expected it -- I am a strict mom. I have become my mom, who was the primary disciplinarian (and a no nonsense one) in our family, as was her mom (who was also a beloved, but famously no nonsense, grade school teacher) and I hear her mom before that. I think it may actually be something hotwired into women genetically -- I can remember mom and her friends talking about child discipline --what this one did and that one did and what they would have done, etc. One time they were talking about spanking bare bottom and mom pointed to me and said "that's how this one gets it" --to my utter mortification -- which I am sure is why I still remember it.🤢 But, I find myself doing the same thing -- Mom shop talk --but mine is not (nor was Mom's really) a circle of stay-at-home housewives . I don't think I have ever heard a bunch of men chatting at any length about child discipline!!!

[u]P.S.[/u] -- although, as I said, I spend a lot of time talking about child discipline with other moms, I (like Carver, and as I have said umpteen times on SW) am not interested in chatting online about spanking!!!!![/b]

My father had no problem being strict with my brother but he was helplessly naive when it came my sister and me. He could never believe that we were anything other than charming, sweet and totally innocent little saints.
Mother knew us and understood that it was when we looked most innocent that there was most reason to assume that we were guilty of something. She was a very good and caring mother and we loved and admired her but we also with good reason feared her hairbrush that she never hesitated to use vigorously on our bare bottoms when we were naughty.

I think that is a big part of it. Fathers are especially inclined to see their daughters as sweet innocent little angels --and of course, we play it to the hilt ☺

My mother is also very strict but I have a strict father too, they both use the belt a lot.
