I love my MacBook. Pricey, but definitely worth it--1st year and not a single problem. My Dell was an absolute pain in the ass--even a month after I had just purchased it.

This. It's been nearly 3 years since I got my Macbook Air and I've had no issues

it looks tempting, but I couldn't find anything in the size I want

HP is sturdy and perhaps not the most exciting but reliable

I was going to say don't buy a Lenovo... until I read the rest of your question. I bought one because I wanted more memory and power. The guy told me the Lenovo's specs were double that of my old one so I bought it... This Lenovo can't do shit!!! I went back to my old ASUS. The ASUS is a much better machine. Maybe try one of them?

MacBook. Haven't had any problems with mine, I used Dell for so long before. They were shit but they lasted forever. Better to splurge a little bit and get something that's not gonna give you problems.
