Why does my PC periodically say.....
"We have updates for you!!"
Which, technophobe that I am, thinks....
"Oh no!! What on earth needs updating??"
(Considering you said the same thing 3 weeks ago!!! Which you supposedly updated THEN !)
So, like a good robot, I click update. Only for it to then spend half an hour....doing whatever the hell it does! Rendering use of my PC inoperable for any purpose!
Only for me to get my screen back, with no discernible differences anywhere ???

Most of the time, its Windows Security Updates. So you wouldn't see any changes, but MS is updating and fixing things that could be security issues down the road.

No clue !
It's not even as if I have a great deal on my computer !
It's largely Word documents; photos and letters.
Just had a flash saying "Making you safer in an online world".....! ??
