Lack of engaging conversation?

Am I the only one that finds that a large percentage of people on here just don't want a normal or thoughtful chat? They will either pretend to want one and then never engage in one when the chance arises, or post the most silly of questions like "my phone is on 20% battery, what should I do?"

To be honest, I get nervous when I meet someone potentially interesting in the Q&A section. I'd love to chat and get to know one another, but it's so much pressure for me... Somehow worse than having a conversation with someone else in person because I get on here pretty often--so, I have to "run into" the same people every time I do. Does that make sense?
