Is life harder for women or men?

plungesponge · 41-45, M
men. Because of man flu
Briskie · F
@Alex1610: lol. It doesn't. It's just something guys make up to try to get more sympathy.
plungesponge · 41-45, M
@Briskie: 😱 Take that back! My father suffered from man-flu, and his father before him!
Briskie · F
@plungesponge: lol. Yes I'm sure it's something that's passed down for all the generations to come. It's a heavy burden for you guys to bear. :)
SW-User
I'd say balance, sometimes it could be harder for men sometimes it could be harder for women
the truth is we never knows the pains and suffering each other goes through :)
SW-User
@Alex1610: So are you saying we could somehow know the pain and suffering through someone eyes(very easily)? :?
SW-User
@aahuss2000: "we never knows the pains and suffering each other goes through". Are you saying we're neither of them? If you aren't, then I hope you know what I mean
SW-User
@Alex1610: We all are of them but some are going through more than others, like I can't ever say I'm suffering more pain more than you....that's because I don't truly know..
SW-User
SW-User
LOL
SW-User
You stole my answer! 😠
SW-User
@aahuss2000: haha lol. 😂😂😂

How hard one finds life to be is merely based on their perception of it.
SW-User
True
SW-User
It depends.
SW-User
@Alex1610: too much to even get into. Everything.
SW-User
@Feature: So there isn't a right answer?
SW-User
@Alex1610: it's subjective anyway. There isn't an answer, just opinions based from different frameworks.
Footballstar · 26-30, M
On the surface women, deeper down men. Women face slightly more problems in life but they can be open about it, most of the time society tells men they just have to bottle it all up which multiplies the problem
SW-User
Deeper down men? Does that mean you lean towards men more?
Footballstar · 26-30, M
Well I think it is different person to person. But women have an outlet men don't so I don't know
That really depends on the circumstances they're dealt with, and the type of personality they have.
SW-User
@TheFlash: Just follow the majority then
@Alex1610: Where I live, I'd say women live a harder life.
SW-User
@TheFlash: Same here!!!!!!!!!!
CoffeeFirst · 56-60, F
I used to think the answer was women. But now that I'm older, I have empathy for both (all) genders as we all have our challenges. --DW
SW-User
Does this have to be considered with age?
CoffeeFirst · 56-60, F
If you mean does age make a difference, I would say no. All stages of life have challenges for both genders.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
It depends on the situation of each indivual but I would say in generally life is more harder for women.
SW-User
I see
SW-User
It depends on the person...some men have it very hard as they are wimps. 😂😂😂😂
😕 I think their is a wimp gene in both sexes!
SW-User
@JoanieNewHampshire: yes that's true..I stand corrected
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
Harder for women, by light years
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@Alex1610: it's 6:31 am. I'll let you know this evening!! Haha 😂😂
SW-User
@Spokeskitty75: It's evening here, tell me 😆
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@Alex1610: haha!
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Both. But for different reasons.
The days of the poor downtrodden woman are largely gone. In the West at least. Although it has to be acknowledged, until the imbalance in pay is sorted once and for all there are still problems.
Men because basically you have three generations of men brought up by single-women ! So quite who they are using for role models as they grow is a bit un-nerving.
SW-User
I believe it's both too
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I think its harder on men. Statistically they die younger.
This is true. Stress has been a leading cause of death in males . But the numbers of streets related illness is growing in females.
Guess it depends on your criteria.
SW-User
Right
SW-User
It's harder for hermaphrodites.
@Alex1610: a trans person isn't the same as interesexed persons. In most cases a transperson has all the determining genitialia opposite of their gender identity. Trans persons vari in degree. From a feminine expressive male. We don't consider masculine expressive females trans until they admit themselves to being more male like then female like. Except in those gender fluid or bi gendered persons. Basically girls can still be girls being tomboys. But guys can't that's why we use that horrible word crossdresser to discribe them. Boys aren't allowed in our culture to be feminine, else they are thought gay or weak. A male who feels strongly identifying with females so much so that they must for mental health reason have gender reassignment surgeries is the other end of the spectrum, transexual. It's estimated that there are similar number of actual mtf and ftm transexuals. But the numbers of MtF individuals compared to FtM individuals who are non transitioning is far greater, because of the gender expression constraints placed on men and the lack of gender constraints placed on a female. It's so easy to say men can't wear skirts. Can you imagine life 100 years ago when women were expected to only wear dresses?
SW-User
@JoanieNewHampshire: That's what I meant when I asked the trans question :)
@Alex1610: the human condition is never as black and white, or as pink and blue as most would have it. I actually love being bi gendered. I get the best of both advantages! 😉
TheCoolestCat · 31-35, M
women..... duh
SW-User
Lol I thought men were the ones who take risk more?
I think both side have it pretty rough sometimes, and pretty awesome sometimes.

What's hard for me is trying to fit into either box!
SW-User
So trans it is then 😂
SW-User
Ok, I'm sorry, it's a bad joke
@Alex1610: I enjoy a good bad joke on occasion. It just simply depends on the intent! 😊
thescalpmaster4 · 26-30, M
another one of those questions that doesn't have a definite answer because you cannot scientifically prove it.

I think both have it harder in their own ways.
SW-User
It doesn't have a definite answer, that's why I asked it.

What might make life harder is being bound by dualism :) (:
Hey, I enjoy my duality. I used to enjoy binding as well!
This is a really hard question, even to make silly generalizations about.
tynamite · 31-35, M
Life is harder for men
SW-User
Why?
tynamite · 31-35, M
Men get longer sentences for the same crime. People have more sympathy when a woman dies. When it comes to attitudes, controversy, tragedies and legally, it is all skewed in favor of women.
Elegy · 46-50
SW-User
How so?
Elegy · 46-50
I can only speak from my experience. I know it isn't the same everywhere but I can't speak with true authority about anywhere else. I feel, here, and in places similar (UK, Canada, Australia, etc.) that both sexes have a lot of unrealistic pressures placed on them. Even now when equality is closer than it has ever been. I feel that outside of the home if not within it that women do not benefit as much by adhering ot or overcoming those expectations as men do socially or monetarily.
SW-User
Both, I feel.
SW-User
Me too
