More of an art question

If an artist sees constructive criticism as harassment and bullying, should they continue to post their work online? I understand that some artists do not want criticism, but to consider that to be bullying? I'm genuinely curious.
Sounds like someone is a bit insecure or a fraud. Speaking as an artist I actually look at constructive criticism (key word being constructive) as a positive thing and I am not insecure or arrogant enough to dismiss it.

I actually encourage constructive criticism whenever I post my stuff online.
That is a big reason why I post online in the first place. :)

depends on the artist and what they are posting. Ive never posted any of my art online unless it was my graphic design work. I'm very sensitive about some of my art.

I'd actually be interested in seeing your work :)

Internet is weird place, and the definition of art in this era is also kind of weird. Artist should be ready for all types of opinion if he/she wants to share his/her art in internet.

@faefairy: Well, posting your artwork online doesn't mean you'll be immune to opinions because people will give them to you regardless. Because, you know, it's the internet. Though, it would be nice to ask before giving said critique.

@faefairy: I, for one, can be both. But I would ask before offering any critique.

If you post it, then by definition you are soliciting opinions.

If you can't handle opinions, then don't post it.
