Why does our brains do this?

@puck61: Wow! This is pretty wild, I've never heard of this radio talk show. Sure sounds like a lot of people there in hell. 💀 I had a paranormal investigation done at my house, it's fascinating what they can pick up on the technology they have now. I loved the message at the end. 👼

@puck61: wow crazy shit
Well, sometimes you have a memory that comes from a dream that somehow gets stored right next to the memories from your 'awake' life. You forget that you had the dream, but the memory from the dream is still there and gets shuffled in with your 'awake' memories. Then something happens that is similar to the dream that your forgot you had, and that stored memory comes to the forefront of your mind. Your subconscious remembers, but your conscious mind doesn't realize it's from a dream that you forgot you had.

I have a stronger experience with Deja vu than just a "forgotten dream" as my friend Puck has described. I have a story about being at this river for the first time. I was about 19 and was with friends, we had tied rafts together and was floating on them. For a split second everything was familiar, it was like I had been there before, it blew my mind. I've had this happen when walking into someone's house for the first time, or someone saying something. It was like I'd heard it and done all that before. I think it could be part of a past life.
