I can't even imagine how burn victims feel

I got a few little burns on my hands, and the pain is excruciating.

For the first little while they feel nothing. They go into shock and their brain sends out pain blockers. But, my son in law got some very bad burns when the tanker he was cleaning exploded. If he hadn't been right beneath the hole he'd climbed down through, he'd have been burned to death; as it was, he was blown up and out. And was in hospital on the burn ward for several months.

Oh yeah I know, I got a burn on my arm from cooking and wondered how people can stand to have a huge area burned.

They probably feel pretty damn hot.

Sorry, shouldn't joke about that.

After the fire that burned Richard Pryor, he went back on tour, doing stand up comedy. One of the things he said was, "I had one spot on my body that didn't hurt. It was on the tip of my pinky. And then one day, I accidentally slammed it in a drawer".

If he could joke about the pain, I guess you can too.
