Ever have a day when the melencholy consumes you?

Churchill called it the black dog. William Styron termed it Darkness Visible ...

It is consuming me now ... It will kill me. Eventually, not now ... now it just gives me glances into a lonely and enfeebled future.

Very often. It's a proper bastard.

Hang on in there. The clouds will clear at some point. If only briefly. Just try to remember the sunshine.

Sorry for the crap metaphors. :)

the worst part is that before the black kills you it strips away your friends. they come to believe that you are merely crying for attention.
i guess its for the best though as i know it wears on them as much as it does on myself.

[c=#BF0080] Oh yessir! Every. Single. Day.! As Edgar Allan Poe said: Being young and full of folly, I fell in love with melancholy. Except I hate it and would do anything to be rid of it. It's like you can't sighhh deep enough. The sun just stops shining for you is all. The whole story is: I am sad. I am sad all the time and the sadness is so heavy that I cannot get away from it. Not ever. I deff understand! I'm sorry you are going through this. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. You deff aren't alone. I hope it gets better for you!! :)[/c]

@WoodyAq: How long do these last and did anything bring it on?

@Cashout: there doesn't seem to be an obvious cause ...

@WoodyAq: Seems organic in nature -- have you seen your doctor?
