It is more an issue for the underdeveloped world. Population is increasing at an alarming rate in places like India. I have 7 siblings, so I am not exactly advocating for forced birth control. We have the resources for larger families. People who haven't been places like India or China don't get what a problem it actually is.

I'm with Pink on this as I've stated below. Please also keep in mind that birth rates are declining world wide. The UN estimates that world population will peak mid-21st century at about 9 billion people and then start to decline. Affluence impacts this trend as people have less children as their standard of living increases, and standards of living are increasing world wide.

Many countries, China included, are going to have problems in the future by having a lack of people. That one child policy is going to bite China in the ass. First, couples have aborted many female babies, so there will be a surplus of men with not enough women. Secondly, the younger generation will have to support a much larger population of older people. Demographic trends have enormous impact and just having less kids either by choice or mandated by law is not a trivial exercise.

Be careful what you wish for.

I know all about eugenics in the US, so your claim that they won't teach it is false. US history is filled with atrocities. The US liked Hitler at first and Hitler actually got many of his ideas on eugenics from us. Anyway, it is one of many, many horrible things we have done.

Obviously I didn't mean that literally nobody knows about it, or else I wouldn't have been able to find it for myself, but it's not something people like to talk about. Also, the US didn't just like Hitler at first. US corporations liked him even when he started using jews in labor camps. It's a fact that we sold sold Ford cars, IBM computers, and Standard Oil to the German government. Again, not many people like to talk about that. It's a shame.

I do agree that we attempt to cover that up. AP history does talk quite a bit about what actually happened, not what we want to have happened. However that appears to be a recent development. Yes, our companies took advantage of concentration camps. It is awful to see how money is considered more important than human lives.

I went to Boston University. So I took multiple semesters in Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Physics as well as many Biology courses, i.e., physiology, comparative vertebrate anatomy, genetics, histology, biochemistry, etc. I took electives in paleoanthropolgy, astronomy and other sciences for fun. While it is true in some schools a BA many be different from a BS, when I was at BU, there was no difference. I can, and have, read the studies myself.

BU is also a very liberal university, often referred to as "the Berkeley of the East" so I was certainly exposed to the Left.

What I object to among liberals such as yourself, is without knowing anything about me, you immediately resort to ad hominem attacks.
