12 days is the maximum recorded half life (how long it can be detected in the bloodstream) 3 is the minimum. If you are concerned don't ingest it, wait until after the test.

I wouldn't risk it. But it doesn't stay in your system very long if you only smoke occasionally.
If you haven't smoked in a really long time, then why now?
