When does technology go backwards?

Usually, it just advances, but under what circumstances does the knowledge of such technology actually disappear?

When religious people or liberals are in power.

when stupid politicians intervene
The newer technology isn't disappearing, but vinyl is making a big comeback.
@Invisible: I'm not really sure. I read an article that said a lot of "analog" stuff is coming back, like physical books and board games. Maybe people want a break from the virtual versions of things and want to actually touch something.

That's because of hipsters. They claim vinyl is the "only way to truly hear the music." They eschew digital music or anything on CD or even cassettes. Which is funny because all those things were invented to replace vinyl to begin with.

@AcidBurn: Vinyls are cool are they're fun to collect because of the historic value and the really neat album covers and whatnot, but actually listening to music on vinyl record is pretty stupid and counterproductive. They even make those portable vinyl players that you can drag around. Which is so fucking dumb to do in an age when we have boom boxes and Bluetooth speakers. Infinitely more portable, and you can bring so much more music.

When it starts to control people.....all that glitters, is not gold. Some tech is taking away our freedoms and liberty.😳

Is technology bad for humanity?

It can be in many ways......the manifestations of tech are starting to show signs of this......it can also be good too......boils down to how it is used🙂
