Your favorite childhood memory?

NOT PAYING BILLS!!
Playing outside in the dark, like hide and seek with the neighbors and catching lightening bugs in a jar. Life was so much simpler in those days with no worries at all.

I had to come to accept that some people should never have been parents. Especially if one is a narcissist and the other is like a wild dog. I'm sorry if I've made you sad :(. Its alright. I've had the fortune of marrying a VERY good, kind, loving woman who I'm devoted to. so it didn't turn out so bad in the end. ☺
@Allelse: Well I'm a mama (hence the name, lol) mom to 4 but actually my story is quit similar to your own. I ended up marrying a narcissist who was brought up in the same kind up upbringing and it was a marriage where he was actually abusive to me, so I left him with my children because I didn't want our children growing up in such an environment as that. Often people dont understand how the children are those who are hurt the most by it. That is nothing I ever wanted for my children. So for me, I fled the abusive marraige and took my children with me because I didn't want them to be brought up like that. That was 10 years ago. Good for you that you found someone who treats you right, you sound like you certainly deserve it. Glad to hear that you have a happy and healthy marriage to.

@mamabutterfly: Four kids?! Wowzers! Oh god marrying one, you poor thing! A good thing you left then, I mean as an adult you can take it but to have to watch as your own kids suffer as you did. I'm glad you left him.
Thank you. Yes I got very lucky with my wife. I found somebody with a good heart, a kind heart and a giving heart.

I have this one memory, I dont know how old I was but I was pretty young. I was with my Grandparents at this big park on a boiling hot day and we were all wearing straw, wide brimmed hats. I think we were having a picnic there on these beautiful green hills.

I have so many, but at this instant, the one that comes to mind was when my dad came home from work, and swung me up into his arms and waltzed me around the room singing some song or other. I still love the smell of steel and honest man sweat.
