Why are people so bitter towards the valentine's day?

SW-User Best Comment
People enjoy being bitter. They just need any excuse.

Because it's a commercial "holiday" designed to make single people feel left out, and couples spend ridiculous amounts of money on cheap tat.
If you love someone you don't need a "special day" to prove it.

I don't think it was meant to make single people feel left out, that's like saying Halloween is designed to make diabetics feel left out. I agree with the rest of your post though.

@PepperMint: Nothing, it's the commercialisation that's happened in the last 15 years that I don't like.

Sociopaths are all about hate.

If you let them they'd make it against the law.

Executive order it into oblivion.

They are unhappy if you're happy.

I take issue with this, not everything is about hate nor would I outlaw it

People get jealous when others are happy and they are not.

Grapes are bitter so valentine seems bitter.
