Do you believe people when they give you a compliment?

Can't you just talk to people normally? Does a conversation about the right type of primer for gloss paint, or the weather, or which is the quickest route to Rome, [i]really[/i] need to involve any kind of compliment??🤔

It's a shame so many of us feel so distrustful of compliments... SOME are genuine, but unfortunately, we didn't get this cynical without good reason😓

Nope. I'm gonna take it. I know it's true anyway. Even if it were someone who kept talking and tried to pick me up, that's still a compliment on me.
