look all professional and ask passersby that you're taking a poll and would they like to participate.

And yet here I am...

The thing is, as a young, pretty college student you could probably approach people saying you were "taking a survey", ask them virtually [b]anything[/b] and they'd happily tell you their deepest secrets.
Somehow, I'm not as interested in the goings ons of other people (unless I like them personally or consider them a friend) as I once was. It's probably awful to admit that, but it's so. 😒
