On Inauguration Day, I Will Stand

On Inauguration Day I will Stand

I will defy lightning to strike me
Looking heavenward
Asking How?
Asking Why?

I will look Heavenward
And I will stand
With Women
With Muslims
With Mexicans
With Disabled Reporters
With duped Voters
With Scientists
With the Ethical Elected
With Families of the Fallen
With any Citizen who expresses their right to free speech
With Republicans who oppose this tyrant
With Democrats rebuilding
With Black Lives Matter
With Your Life that Matters. One is not minimized by embracing the other.
With Americans everywhere whose allure in reality TV becomes a lesson learned in lessons learned. And oh, we will learn hard, those lessons.
With Children who deserve so much better
With those who wish for respectful discourse.

On Inauguration Day I Will Stand
Defying Lightning to Strike
There may be tears in my eyes
But I will stand

And I will look forward
Looking Heavenward
To the Sun breaking through
One mind, one voter at a time.

On Inauguration Day I Will Stand.
With Millions.
sorry. couldnt help myself :)

@voyelle: lol "Good question" is a subjective relevant thing, you'd have to describe what a good question is to you. This is dragging on for too long though, Im tired and Im going to sleep. Bye.

Cassandra ... I will stand with the voters in the 2,800 counties who elected President Trump.

I will stand with ranchers and veterans and farmers and pick-up truck owners and gun owners and volunteers and engineers ... With police officers and EMTs ... steel workers and construction teams ... with men that have backbone ... with women that have vision.

With the God appreciating ... with those who ushered in the largest political power shift ... since 1922

Very well said, I really appreciated, your kind and wise words.....thank you!🙂@questionWeaver

You are entitled to, and good on you for doing so. You should stand with those who represent your beliefs. With those who best represent you.

Unfortunately, he doesn't best represent me. And that's ok. The USA is not, and should not be a one party state. Sometimes it's the Dems in power, and sometimes the GOP. That's fine, and as it should be.

That doesn't mean I should love the guy, though I do wish him well. The Republicans sure made it hard for Obama. They didn't all fall in line for him and in fact went out of their way to make things difficult for him.

That is politics.
It's weird that I am saying this while being the youngest one here, and being attacked for my opinions by the oldest ones here.

But that's fine. I suspect the next four years will look like this stream.
Over a POEM! Lmao.

When I say attacked, I meant generally, and not you specifically. You haven't done so.

You will stand with the losers, bolstered by political correctness, horrified at the admission that liberalism and democracy are unsustainable bedfellows.

You'll learn that your very teachers are societal misfits entrenched in a morass of socialism that they created and can't see clear of. "Tenure" is the ragged lesson plan of the cheerleader, not the doer.

It was never in the cards for the rights of an individual, or group, or sex, culture, creed or race, to supersede the majority,
We
.
We
are guaranteed equal rights, not individual. Each citizen you allude to has those rights. For others, they are to be earned legally.

And yes, if I were you, I too would be offended by the effects of reality tv. Perhaps you should stop watching CNN or their internet scapegoat, BUZZFEED. Back in the day, editorials were properly labeled.

Now, even McDonalds has to disclose the fat content of their foods. They're actually required to let you know how much of the crap they produce is actually digestible.

That's why Hillary lost, your altruism aside.

✌🏻

[c=#7700B2]Some of the responses you are getting here are illustrating perfectly the aggressive defensiveness, the ugly rhetoric, the smug dismissiveness of other people's thinking, and the wilful disregard of facts that Trump embodies and inspires. Good for you for taking this stand and expressing your thoughts and feelings so poetically.[/c]

@voyelle: you live in one very strange head space.

I never said I give 50% of my money to anyone or anything. You are ranting and don't even know it. Do you give 50% of your money to anyone or anything? No. And I don't expect you to prove it, because you don't do so.

You are not spreading love, so please don't advise others to do so. You are like an attack dog. All I did was post a poem, and your wrath comes out.

You don't have to like all my opinions. No one expects you to. But I am sure there are things we can agree on.

Why do you take so personally this poem? You say you are an adult, but you act like a child. You have an opini N on Trump that I don't share. And you know what? Millions agree with you, and million agree with me. And that's fine.

What about the opposite??????
Am I supposed to represent all points of view?
Ridiculous!

Who will stand for Christians?

@questionWeaver: the Democrats have much to do if they want to regain not only the White House, but Congress as well.

You are quite right in what you said.

Other interesting stats show Hillary won less than 500 Counties nationwide.
Trump won more than 2,600.

There is evidence however that in 27 GOP led States that many voters were supposedly suppressed.

Whether or not that is the case, the Democrats need a lot of grass roots repairing to advance their own causes. Both Obama and Bill Clinton had advised her campaign to do more in some areas. They were ignored. They turned out to be 100% correct.

As are you, in your assessment.
Yes ... Hillarys message was for city consumption ... and cities are shrinking ... in 2020, the GOP picks up 9 more electoral votes, as the influence of CA, IL and NY shrinks ... and Texas adds 3.

Unfortunately ... topics like racism and sanctuary cities are something cities get all excited about ... but nobody else sees ... it just is not part of their daily life.

In middle America Kansas, they want somebody supporting police, talking jobs and stopping the EPA from delaying every mall project over stormwater. ... Mexican rights never come up. Climate change is not even top 20.

They aren't deniers or racists ... just regular folks.

Hillary should have listened to Bill and President Obama ... and talked to the regular folks more.

Have a nice evening!
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@questionWeaver: you too. And thank you for being able to have a civil discussion without attacking.

Hillary won California by more than 4,000,000 votes. That is sad really as when you subtract that from her final pop votes, she would have lost.

There is something to be said for the founders creating the Electoral College. Why should such an overage in just one state carry the whole country for her?

Again, much to learn, much to do. .

Just because I am not in love with Trump, does not mean I AM in love with Hillary.

None of them talked about my issue. Reducing the National debt! That person would have had my vote had they existed!

And again, thank you for chatting respectfully
