Some people have drugs, I have music
I can't go through the day without some thumping, pulsing beats flowing through my veins. I need something loud, something aggressive, something that screams and shouts and wails and flails, something that inspires and innovates, something angry and powerful.
I need rock music.
I need something that can shake me, say 'make me', quake me, but never fake me.
I need Alice Cooper and Angus Young, and Ozzy O. and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Not a day goes by where I don't crave those shrieking chords and wailing voices, something powerful to shock my system and remind me why I do what I do. And what I do is write, and I'm not half bad at it. And it's thanks to the pulsing beat that keeps on pounding that I keep finding sometihng to write about.
