Do you consider intelligence a blessing or a curse?

Serenitree · F
It's a blessing, certainly. Some can misuse it, and some can be misused by others to mine their intelligence, but to be intelligent is a blessing for sure.

You don't go to a Kennel Club and say, "I'll pay you double the going price for the dumbest Doberman you have"

You can love a child with learning difficulties, but when you're waiting for your baby to be born, you aren't sitting there with your fingers crossed saying, I just hope this child is stupid. I'd hate to have a smart kid.

It's a blessing. A dumb person can still be anxious and sad.

I would consider it to be a blessing.

A true curse indeed.

It's a blessing of course... but there are times when I wish that I could be blissfully ignorant.
Ignorance does seem appealing at times.
Serenitree · F
@ForeignersGod: ignorance really has very little to do with intelligence. Even the most intelligent person can be ignorant about many things. Ignorance is a lack of knowledge, not a lack of intelligence.

It is all in what you do with it, and how you use it. I would think it a blessing...

Neither one. It's useful, but a little extra insight can be quite dangerous.

Do you think it is a curse???
I believe it is more of a blessing than a curse.

@ForeignersGod: Are you an intellectual my dear?? :)
