Because you 'offend'. You would not recognize being offended, if you did not 'offend'. You are seeing and feeling what you unconsciously do.
HeWhoLaughs · 26-30, M
BUUUT if i did not offend how would i know how offending offends people? if i did not offend i could not help limit the offense others take to actual offensive posts...
HeWhoLaughs · 26-30, M
......offense

@deonboy89:

You will never know the answer to this question, because you do not currently experience what you are hypothesizing about with a potential character change which does not include offensiveness. Right now, everything offends you. This is because currently, you offend others apparently. I am only making this rational statement based on the old adage, that "It takes one to know one". In other words, it takes an offensive person, to recognize offensiveness in others.

If you were not offensive yourself, you would not even remotely recognize it in others. Other people serve as a 'mirror' of our own character and personality traits. They reflect who and what we are, because we respond TO them, with what we like or dislike about OURSELVES.

Until you stop being an offensive person yourself, you will not be able to understand how to answer the question, "BUUUT if I did to offend, how would I know how offending offends people?".

Truth is, you are oblivious to your own offensive nature as unintentional as it probably is, because no one has likely ever pointed it out to you. I don't even know you, so I don't know if you are offensive or not. I'm just being as objective as I can here, in addressing your question.

If others take offense to actual offensive posts as you say, you are not capable of limiting the offense they take anyway! You do not possess that power! The offense they take to other posts is all about them, it is not about you! If they are offended by what you say, then so be it! It is not up to you to change their mind, because nobody put you in charge of how 'others' should be or not be! You can only look at yourself.

When you no longer see offensiveness in others, it will be a sign to you that you no longer possess offensiveness within yourself.
