Collecting rainwater in US is illegal?

Some states are For Medical Use Only, with limits on personal supply. A prescription is req'd $150.00 by a Dr. and a user card $300.00 to the state, both paid yearly. If you drink it for recreational purposes, like staying alive for the fun of it, you will die instantly and go directly to hell and there is absolutely NO rain water there.

it depends on how you're doing it, collecting from a roof downspout is almost always fine (which is where it's still considered rainwater), diverting run off [after it's made it to the ground] is likely to run afoul of several local laws.
