Are you full of seasons cheer ?

Finished work at 8 this morning and had planned to take the bus down to London. 130 miles away.
Absolutely shattered, I grabbed my bags and headed for the bus stop into the city.
I'd been there maybe ten minutes when somebody pulled up asking for directions to the main road.
I jokingly asked was he heading to London and it turns out, he was !!!!!
But then it gets better. Having agreed to give THIS stranger a ride, we get into conversation and it turns out he planned to make a detour to my hometown BEFORE going in to London !!!!
Thus I was sat in my sons place with an ice cold beer, being entertained by my 2 year old grandson, 4 hours ahead of schedule !!!!!!
And it hasn't cost me a penny !!!

That is absolutely wonderful!!!
Totally a reason worth being filled with cheer this season!!!!
Enjoy your visit with your grandson!

I tell my husband all the time between the age gap from my oldest to the twins were expecting, (10yrs) we might have our first grandchild before we become empty nesters. He was a bit bummed at first but boy do we love kids besides being a grandparent is so much more fun than being a parent, we get to spoil and the discipline doesn't come from grams and gramps - we just have to go along with what the parents decide 😁

It's been a hard year and I'm taking three days off before having to work over Christmas.
So as pleasant surprises go, this rather tops it !!!
@Picklebobble: Enjoy your rest and your grandson :-)
