I'm sorry, but I don't care how old you are- don't disrespect people and then expect them to respect you back. It doesn't work that way, okay?

I'm not saying all older people do this, but I'm tired of the whole "I'm older show me respect" thing coming from people who are the most disrespectful people- regardless of age- that I've ever met. I'm not going to disrespect you the way you disrespect me, but I sure as hell am not going to go out of my way to show you respect that you do not deserve.
